Video Presentation – before Truro
People of the river crossing
Fiona is a landscape archaeologist. She is talking about what we now know about Truro’s origins and evolution. In the past thirty years or so the town has seen a number of major developments, each of which has included an archaeological appraisal, a good amount of investigation, and lots of information and artefacts. Fiona is piecing together all the new data to make a clear and comprehensive picture of Truro’s development, from Neolithic flint knapping pits at Tregurra, to Iron Age trading posts at Besore, to lost medieval roads – from beginnings to the C13th.
